HEALTHY FOR LIFE BOOK RESOURCE: My Gluten free Go-Tos AND MORE

I’ve very excited to be included as an author in Healthy For Life: Foundatonal Skills for Parents, Teachers, Mentors, and the Kids They Love.

This page started as a blog, and has become a resource for my chapter for purchase on Amazon.

I remember when my husband and I first went gluten free over 15 years ago. Since I did most of the shopping, I was able to find pasta that didn’t taste great, but it kept my stomach aches away and his symptoms under control too. There were a few other staples that got us through. Thankfully now, Every time I go shopping (2-3 times a week), there are always new gluten free products on the shelves next to the ones that are gluten-full. I buy them all and my husband, son and I give them a try. This post is a work in progress, so keep checking back.

Of these product lines, I noted my faves below.

Please check all ingredients on each label to be sure it’s suitable for your dietary needs. Many of the companies below offer lots of options.

As a reminder, if a label says it’s made in a shared facility or on shared equipment with wheat (which it notes on the label) and not marked gluten-free of certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), be aware that there can be cross-contamination. Instead, select a different option to be safe.

Disclaimer: Since manufacturers may change ingredients from time to time, please be sure to read the labels yourself when you find them in the store. If you need help deciphering each ingredient, let me know and I will surely help. That said, at this time my faves below do not have GF oats, however, some of the others products offered by that manufacturer may contain oats/gf oats. If you want to follow my lead and avoid oats no matter what, please check the ingredient lists for each product and do not consume and oats, even if they are marked GF or gluten free.
